How Custom 3D Printing Works at GeauxPrints

The most common question we get is some version of "can you actually make that?" The answer is almost always yes. Here is what happens between your idea and a finished print showing up at your door.

Step one: tell us what you want

You do not need a file. You do not need to know anything about 3D printing. A photo works. A sketch on a napkin works. So does a sentence like "a dinosaur holding a birthday cake." We have built stranger things.

If you do have a file, even better. Send it over and we will skip straight to the quote.

Step two: we design and quote it

Within one to two business days, one of us gets back to you. If your idea needs to be designed from scratch, we will do that and send a preview so you can see it before anything gets printed. You will also get a straightforward price. No surprise fees at the end.

Price depends on three things: how big it is, how detailed it is, and what material it needs. Simple pieces start around the cost of a pizza night. Larger or more complex work costs more, and we will always tell you why.

Step three: you approve, then we print

Nothing goes on a printer until you say yes. Once you approve, we queue it up. Most custom pieces ship within a week. Bigger batches take a little longer, and we will give you a real date rather than a hopeful one.

Every print gets checked before it is packed. That check happens at our kitchen table, usually with at least one kid offering an unsolicited opinion.

What people actually order

A lot of gifts. Name keychains for a whole classroom. Matching pieces for a team. Cake toppers. But also a surprising number of practical things: a replacement knob for an appliance nobody makes parts for anymore, a bracket for a garage shelf, an organizer that does not exist in any store.
